Sequence Names Robert Sheffield VP Finance; EDA Veteran Strengthens Exec Team

SANTA CLARA, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 10, 2005— Chip-design software company Sequence Design has named Robert "RAS" Sheffield its vice president of finance and administration. Sheffield has more than 30 years of executive-level finance experience with public and private companies.

Sheffield helped lead the successful IPO of Magma Design Automation as that company's CFO in 2001. He has been CFO of seven Silicon Valley companies, including several well-known, high-tech companies, such as Time-Warner Interactive, Faroudja, Asante Technologies, and Televideo Systems.

"RAS's addition is an important step in our evolution," said Vic Kulkarni, Sequence president and CEO. RAS is the ideal man to help us accomplish all of these goals and more, and I welcome him to the Sequence family."

"Being the unquestioned technology leader in power-aware design puts Sequence in the front ranks of EDA," Sheffield said. "The company is uniquely positioned to have a lasting impact on design, and I look forward to working with Vic as they expand their impact in this important industry."
