ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Avineon, Inc., a leading provider of information technology (IT) services in the federal sector, announced today the appointment of Neale Bird as program manager of the company's Total Information Processing Support Services (TIPSS-3) contract supporting the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Bird will also serve as the primary resource leading Avineon's IRS business development initiatives. He will drive Avineon's strategic relationships and partnerships with other IT companies in delivering high-quality and cost-effective services to help the IRS meet its strategic goals.

Bird has more than 17 years of successful business development experience across all phases of government business capture management. Most recently, he served as director of civilian programs for Pragmatics, Inc. where he was responsible for new business development and strategy. Bird, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), has held a number of management positions throughout his career at companies including Communication Technologies, Inc., Viaken Systems (acquired by Apex Digital Systems), Janssen Pharmaceutica and Marriott.
