Acquisition strengthens TI's growing analog business focused on solving customer design challenges
"Analog is at the heart of solving some of the world's most challenging problems and continues to be a significant area in which TI is growing and serving its customers," said Art George, senior vice president for TI's High Performance Analog business unit. "Integrating the technical expertise of the IDS team with TI's talented analog engineers enhances our ability to deliver the right analog products for our customers' applications."
Based in Melbourne, Florida, IDS has been a long-time supplier to TI. The company designs integrated high-speed analog products for applications such as test and measurement, communications and medical electronics.
TI provides a comprehensive portfolio of high-speed signal chain products, including amplifiers, data converters and clocking devices, addressing a wide range of design needs. Acquiring IDS enhances TI's high-speed portfolio and further strengthens the company's systems knowledge and support system.
Randy Heilman, president of IDS, said, "We've enjoyed working closely with TI over the past 10 years to create integrated designs. We look forward to being a part of the TI team to deliver more innovative solutions to optimize high-speed signal chain performance, simplify design and reduce time to market for customers."
