NVIDIA Expands Capacity with Verigy V93000 SoC Tester Platform

CUPERTINO, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 17, 2008— Verigy (NASDAQ: VRGY), a leading semiconductor test company, today announced that NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing technologies, has significantly expanded its existing fleet of Verigy V93000 SoC testers. NVIDIA uses the V93000 for high-speed design characterization and also in volume production for its semiconductor devices, which are used by industry-leading manufacturers of workstations, personal computers, game consoles, and mobile devices. NVIDIA populated its V93000 systems with Verigys low-cost Pin Scale 400 channel cards that deliver all the performance needed to test its full range of devices.

Verigy continues to provide a solution that meets our performance and flexibility needs along with outstanding service and support, said Debora Shoquist, Senior Vice President of Operations, NVIDIA. Verigy has been a strategic partner for us and we are happy to expand the relationship.

The V93000 platform is prevalent throughout the industrys supply chain, from design houses, to fabless companies, independent device manufacturers (IDMs) and test houses. As a result, NVIDIA can easily and efficiently work with partners up and down the supply chain who also use the V93000 platform.

NVIDIA has long been recognized as the leader in graphics processors and today the company continues to drive the technology envelope by using the most advanced wafer process technology, said Pascal Ronde, Vice President of Sales, Service and Support, Verigy. The scalability, flexibility and performance of the V93000 platform allow NVIDIA to use the same system all the way from the design characterization phase through both wafer sort and final test in volume production.
