This newest certification allows Mentor Engineering to extend their robust mobile workforce solutions to a greater number of fleet-based clients across America
CALGARY, AB - January 27, 2009 - Mentor Engineering announces that their hallmark product, Mentor Ranger®, is now certified on the Alltel Wireless network. Alltel Wireless is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States, and prides itself on providing the largest network coverage area in America. Serving over 13 million customers across 34 states, Alltel provides wireless telecommunication coverage nationwide, including hard-to-service rural areas.
“Mentor’s new and existing clients will benefit from greater network coverage and more wireless options,” explains Mike Koebel, VP of Sales and Business Development at Mentor.
Mentor Ranger, a rugged in-vehicle computer, facilitates real-time voice and data communication between drivers and dispatchers, supports work order management functions such as on-the-fly schedule changes, and provides vehicle telemetry, RFID and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) information. Ranger’s integrated navigation software allows drivers to access turn-by-turn directional prompts, and Ranger is programmable over the air, saving organizations time and money.
By teaming Ranger with the reliable network offered by Alltel Wireless, Mentor can offer solutions ranging from field service, EMS, utilities, emergency road service and public transit, regardless of whether clients are in cities or rural areas.
