(Aug. 4, 2009/Harrisburg, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an information technology company specializing in geospatial solutions, has been has been selected by York County, Pa., to develop an ArcGIS® Server public mapping Web site.
The site is built on the GeoDecisions Public Records Information Mapping Engine (GeoPRIME), a multi-platform framework for building easy-to-maintain, low-cost spatial Web applications. Key information available through the portal will enable the public to gain ready-access to critical information, including tax parcels and floodplains.
The county’s geographic information system (GIS) supports a wide range of applications and services, including, public safety, transportation, utilities infrastructure, tax assessment, economic and land use planning, and management of data related to engineering purposes.
GeoDecisions will develop the site using the latest development tools, including JavaScript™ API, enhancing map visualization and efficiency to produce a highly cartographic and user-friendly application.
