AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First American Spatial Solutions, a member of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF) family of companies and a leader in spatial and natural hazard risk solutions announced today that select ParcelPoint(R) data will be offered as part of the new Microsoft codename "Dallas".

Microsoft codename "Dallas" is a Windows Azure and SQL Azure Database-powered information brokerage service that combines high-value, premium data and third-party applications to provide developers and information workers with visibility and access to multiple data sets and applications.

ParcelPoint is a national database containing information on more than 122 million U.S. land parcels. The highly accurate data, which includes the parcel boundary, centroid (geometric center of the parcel) and physical address, is regularly updated by First American Spatial Solutions. As part of the initial offering, First American Spatial Solutions will provide ParcelPoint data to Microsoft for select California counties. This will allow customers an additional channel to access ParcelPoint and utilize it in conjunction with other data and services offered in Microsoft's solution.

ParcelPoint data has broad application across many industries including energy, utilities, telecommunications and government segments. Customers use ParcelPoint data to improve decision making, manage field assets and quickly understand key property attributes.
