(Dec. 22, 2009/Harrisburg, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an information technology company specializing in geospatial solutions, has been selected by the city of Hartford, Wis., to assist in the implementation of an enterprise geographic information system (GIS).
The three-year project will include a variety of tasks, including system hardware and ESRI® software package implementation. Additional tasks include on-site support, database design, data conversion, custom application development, Web-based mapping, custom training, and ESRI-certified training.
When complete, the project will lead to greater efficiency in the day-to-day operations of the city and further enhance the delivery of information to citizens. GeoDecisions previously developed a GIS needs assessment and GIS strategic plan for Hartford.
