Mediasite by Sonic Foundry Selected to Webcast eLearning 2010 Conference

For the first time ITC eLearning conference will stream general sessions

MADISON, Wis., Feb. 19 — (PRNewswire) — Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting and knowledge management, today announced the company's Mediasite platform will be used to stream multimedia presentations at The Instructional Technology Council's annual conference, eLearning 2010, scheduled to take place February 20-23 in Forth Worth, Texas.

The four day program includes sessions featuring distance learning administrators, faculty, instructional designers, online media specialists, web course developers and continuing education professionals. Participants will have an opportunity to hear keynote speakers who are emerging or top scholars in their field, and to learn about new and successful technologies and strategies for teaching at a distance.

"Travel budgets are very tight this year, so we're pleased to partner with Sonic Foundry to offer a virtual component to the conference. Having the archived webcast of these sessions will be important not only to our attendees for professional development after the event, but also for individuals watching from their desktops," said Christine Mullins, executive director of The Instructional Technology Council. "Sonic Foundry has done an amazing job in creating a platform that is not only visually appealing, but easy-to-use and informative to our users."

General sessions will be available for on-demand public viewing after the conference at www.sonicfoundry.com/itc10. In addition, the in-person and virtual participants will be interacting via Twitter during the conference. Now eLearning 2010 attendees on-site and online will get the benefits of both live streaming and on-demand presentations for additional reflection and continuing education," said Barry Dahl, vice president, Technology and Connect eCampus, Lake Superior College.

In addition to the conference sessions, there are several pre-conference workshops scheduled for Saturday, notably Barry Dahl and Audrey Williams, Director of Educational Technology Services, Pellissippi State Community College, presenting Tweet This – Social Networking in Higher Education.
