BEACON conducts 'Experience SolidWorks 2010' seminars

Best Engineering Aids & Consultancies (BEACON), SolidWorks Value Added Reseller based in Bangalore, INDIA, recently conducted the first of a planned, series of Seminars titled 'Experience SolidWorks 2010'. The first seminar was conducted by BEACON for their existing customers on the 23rd of February, 2010 at Hotel Atria in Bangalore. The purpose of these seminars is to share and educate customers and CAD users on the new features available in SolidWorks 2010, enabling them to design products faster and easier.

The seminar witnessed a turn-out of about 50 SolidWorks users from North and Central Bangalore. The highlight of the event was a session on introducing the new features available in SolidWorks 2010, which was conducted by Mr. Shashank - Sr. Application Engineer, BEACON. A majority of the participants were excited to see the new enhancements available in SolidWorks 2010 like Rapid Dimensioning, Multibody sheetmetal, Mouse gesture, Dimension Palette, New way of creating Reference planes, mirror components etc. The other interesting sessions included an introduction by Mr. Ameer, Sr. Simulation Tech Support Engineer, on the latest in SolidWorks Simulation enhancements like, SolidWorks Sustainability, New Design study, event based motion analysis, etc.

The event also included live demos and tips on using the tools available in the SolidWorks Professional and Premium, which were explained and demonstrated to the users. Some of the newer productivity tools inbuilt in SolidWorks Professional and Premium - delighted many of the users, who also enthusiastically participated in Q&A sessions with BEACON engineers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks followed by lunch.
