SAIC Launches Update for GeoRover(R) Digital Data Tracker Software Product

New Digital Data Tracker Extension Brings Enhanced Features to Geographic Information System Users

(McLEAN, Va.)July 21, 2010 -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today that its latest version of the GeoRover® Digital Data Tracker geospatial software product is now available for geographic information system (GIS) users worldwide.
SAIC designs and develops GIS technologies, including GeoRover software products, which are important tools used to visualize and analyze activities, places, and locational database information including maps and satellite imagery.

GeoRover software products are delivered as extensions or “plug-ins” to the popular ESRI® ArcGIS® Desktop application. The new GeoRover Digital Data Tracker extension includes powerful tools to leverage commercial global positioning system (GPS) receiver data and digital files (pictures, video clips) collected in the field from a variety of devices, automatically georeferencing this information over maps and imagery. Major new enhancements include the ability to import data from modern geotagging devices and upload geospatial data into a GPS receiver. The new extension also offers full support for importing and exporting the XML-based GPS GPX formats, enabling the collection of field data to create multimedia mapping products.

“We continue to provide new GeoRover software products and solutions that help enhance GIS user capabilities and streamline workflows, enabling increased productivity,” said John Thomas, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. “This demonstrates the capability of SAIC to continue to design tailored solutions for our customers in the form of commercial software products.”
