Bentley Systems CEO Greg Bentley and COO Malcolm Walter Host Opening of New U.K. Headquarters in City of London

Following Mr. Bentley’s presentation, Graham Daines, technology manager for CH2M HILL and technical director of the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, along with Simon Williams-Gunn, engineering technical lead, London Tideway Tunnels Delivery Team, provided insights on the Thames Tideway Tunnel Scheme. This massive engineering project aims to improve the water quality of the River Thames for future generations.

Richard Cowley, interior design associate, BDP, then delivered a presentation on the sustainability strategies used in the redesign of Bentley’s London office. Bentley commissioned BDP to create a world-class interior layout and design for the office that provides an attractive and comfortable work, training, and sales presentation environment using sustainable methods and materials. Its energy efficiencies and environmentally friendly attributes include special lighting with daylight-linked dimming controls, localized controls for heating and cooling that take advantage of advanced sensor technology to feed occupancy data into the building management system, water-efficient appliances, and much more.
