PLM Innovation Congress partners with the PLM Interest Group

Europe’s only independent PLM conference is to host the first PLMIG Standards Implementation Workshop.

Oxford, England. January 17, 2011 - The PLM Innovation Congress 2012 provides a neutral environment for the international product lifecycle management community to network, share best practice and hear the latest developments in PLM. The Congress presents the perfect opportunity to understand new PLM processes and see how PLM can help you with critical elements of your business.

In line with these aims, the Congress will act as host for the next PLMIG workshop aimed at developing industry-wide standards and best practices for PLM. Building on the new material generated during the PLMIG's 2011 programme, the Standards Implementation Workshop will enable delegates to identify how their own PLM environments can benefit from standardisation. Participants will benefit from the social and networking benefits of the host event while Congress delegates, in turn, will have a window into the live standardisation process.

"Partnering with the PLM Interest Group was a very natural step due to their tireless work in developing impartial standards and globally applicable guidelines to drive more effective PLM processes." said Thomas Boughton, Director of PLM Innovation. “We are excited about the extra value the involvement of PLMIG will bring to both our delegates and the conference more generally.”

"Working with PLM Innovation represents a unique opportunity." said Roger Tempest, co-Founder of the PLMIG. "The Standards Workshop is all about applying best practices effectively in real, working environments, which fits right into the theme of the Congress. The chance for delegates at the two events to network with each other is also a significant bonus."
