"All Programmable – from Silicon to System"

Although there's little doubt that chip scaling will go on for the foreseeable future, the global electronics industry faces daunting economic and technical challenges, as design costs skyrocket and design complexities increase exponentially.  In his keynote, Dr. Bolsens will provide a fabless company perspective on what it takes to be at the forefront of the semiconductor industry with each new process generation, from silicon to system.

As the world's leading provider of All Programmable technologies and devices, beyond its programmable logic roots, Xilinx relies on holistic programmability of all aspects of its product architecture.  This includes functional components, memory, interconnect and process technology. Cutting-edge manufacturing technology is expected to give rise to higher transistor costs, higher technology risks and longer manufacturing delays.  More than ever, to survive and thrive in today's fiercely competitive global market place, it is essential for fabless companies to optimize all components of the supply chain. Dr. Bolsens will provide insights into Xilinx's successful strategy for tightly collaborating with supply chain partners to deliver technology innovations and get to market first with next generation All Programmable FPGAs, SoCs and 3D ICs.
