Exprodat’s Team-GIS Discovery Brings Petroleum Workflows to ArcGIS for Server

January 31, 2013 -- Exprodat has added to its widely used Team-GIS software suite with the release of Discovery; an add-on for Esri’s ArcGIS for Server that enables users to deploy powerful web-mapping applications without needing expensive bespoke development.

Team-GIS Discovery combines advanced data-discovery tools, accessed through a simple to use web-mapping application, with an extensive set of management tools.

Using Team-GIS Discovery with ArcGIS for Server allows oil and gas users to:

Exprodat’s Technical Director, Chris Jepps, says about the release of Discovery; “Team-GIS Discovery is an easy-to-use web-map  that has been designed based on our experiences of implementing web-based GIS at many clients. The application is a great way for organisations to jump-start their ArcGIS for Server deployments, and is much more cost effective than going the ‘self-build’ route.

Along with incredibly powerful search capabilities it has all usual out-of-the-box GIS functionality that you’d expect, plus if you need to add bespoke data integration tools it can be extended with custom tools. Team-GIS Discovery is also compatible with Esri’s ArcGIS Online environment. We’re delighted that Team-GIS Discovery has now been released.”

The Exprodat Team-GIS software is used by oil and gas teams to achieve real benefits in their every-day work. In providing ‘out-of-the-box’ solutions for petroleum exploration and production workflow, Team-GIS tools harness the power of Esri’s ArcGIS platform to meet the needs of the petroleum sector.

Because the Exprodat Team-GIS software is data independent, oil and gas companies are able to integrate vendor data with their own in-house datasets. This means that, through this enhanced GIS-based spatial analysis, decisions can be made faster, risk can be managed and technical uncertainty is reduced.
