Darmstadt, Germany, October 2, 2013 – Following an international invitation to tender, Adam Opel AG has decided that PROSTEP AG will, in the future, provide CAx trainers for the Opel Academy, Opel's internal training center. This makes PROSTEP responsible for the internal training of Opel engineers in close collaboration with the IT and Engineering divisions.
PROSTEP AG will offer Opel employees basic and advanced training in the CAx, PDM and VIS systems used across the Group. The know-how to be conveyed extends far beyond mere system functionality, encompassing in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the internal processes at Opel – proof of the trust that Opel places in the competence of the PROSTEP experts.
This competence and experience has deep roots: over 11 years ago, PROSTEP AG assumed responsibility for the Data Management Team that had just been set up at the International Technical Development Center and which provides Opel employees with support in all matters pertaining to data integration and data exchange.
A number of experts will be added to the PROSTEP team at Opel in Russelsheim, and they will conduct training courses on-site in Russelsheim as well as in Italy, England, France and other European countries.
