Lean Maintenance Workshop Offered to Improve Manufacturing Efficiencies and Reduce Waste

CHARLESTON, S.C. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 7, 2014 — Life Cycle Engineering, Inc. (LCE) today announced that it will offer a Lean Maintenance workshop through its education entity, the Life Cycle Institute. The Life Cycle Institute and industry expert Joel Levitt created the Lean Maintenance workshop in response to a rising demand for lean principles to be incorporated into maintenance practices of manufacturing entities.

Lean maintenance practices enable manufacturers to operate more efficiently at lower operating costs, resulting in decreased downtime. The three-day Lean Maintenance workshop is a hands-on experience that teaches participants how to uncover and eliminate waste as well as how to transition from traditional maintenance practices to a lean-maintenance operation. The Lean Maintenance course is ideal for manufacturing professionals that are closest to the source of waste such as, maintenance workers or operators. Supervisors will also benefit as they will lead and oversee waste reduction efforts. Participants will learn how to:

The first Lean Maintenance workshop is offered March 11-13, 2014 at Life Cycle Engineering in Charleston, SC. The registration fee is $1,495 per person and includes all course materials and lunch.
