DS-Certified BOXX Workstation and New Mobile Demo at SolidWorks World 2014

AUSTIN, TEXAS, Jan. 27, 2014—BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performance workstations and rendering systems, today announced that their new GoBOXX 2725 mobile workstation and the Dassault Systèmes-certified 3DBOXX 4150 XTREME workstation will be demonstrated in BOXX booth #417 at SolidWorks World 2014, Jan. 26-29 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. A Dassault Systèmes Corporate Partner, designated SolidWorks Solution Partner, and leading manufacturer of CATIA and SolidWorks-certified workstations, BOXX will also showcase the renderPRO personal dedicated rendering system and their upcoming virtual professional workstations. BOXX encourages SolidWorks World attendees to bring along their most detailed CAD design (on a drive) in order to experience “how SolidWorks is supposed to run” on their high performance hardware.

“The quality, performance, and innovation of BOXX machines allow us to extend this exclusive offer to SolidWorks World attendees,” says Shoaib Mohammad, BOXX VP of Marketing and Business Development. “Our Dassault Systèmes-certified 4150XT continues to be the preferred choice of SolidWorks and CATIA users, the new GoBOXX is the first mobile to provide desktop level performance, and our upcoming virtual workstations will give even greater freedom to engineers, designers, architects, and other creative professionals.”

BOXX professional virtual workstations can host several virtual machines on one workstation, enabling users to access applications and performance from anywhere. In BOXX booth #417, the virtual systems will be joined by the compact, liquid-cooled 3DBOXX 4150 XTREME, an overclocked workstation featuring a 4th generation, Intel® Core™ i7 processor capable of running up to 4.3 GHz. Including NVIDIA Maximus technology, the SolidWorks-certified XTREME is also certified for CATIA, joining an elite group of workstations tested and designated by Dassault Systèmes to run its CAD/CAM/CAE commercial software suite.

Also on hand is the GoBOXX 2725, a mobile workstation featuring a twelve core,Intel® Xeon® desktop processor and other enterprise components once available only in desktop systems. The revolutionary GoBOXX offers true workstation performance, enabling engineers and designers to move beyond office confines and create from anywhere. Rounding out the demonstrations is the sixteen-core renderPRO, the world’s first personal, dedicated rendering solution for 3D graphics, animation, and compositing. Requiring no server room or IT personnel, the easily configurable renderPRO provides dedicated rendering at the desk side. SolidWorks World attendees can also look to the BOXX booth for an opportunity to register for a free GoBOXX, take home a t-shirt, or collect the popular miniature LEGO brick kit versions of BOXX products.

“SolidWorks World is a tremendous opportunity for engineers and designers to discover how they can multitask more effectively, meet critical project deadlines, and increase productivity,” says Mohammad. “When attendees visit our booth, they’ll discover how their applications are supposed to run and why Dassault Systèmes-certified BOXX workstations are essential to their workflow.”
