Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Wins 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Council Award

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 18, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  As a recipient of the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Council Award, the MSSC has been distinguished for its work of increasing the number of skilled individuals entering the manufacturing workforce.  The Frost & Sullivan's Manufacturing Leadership Council 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards (ML Awards) honor companies, organizations and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.

"It is my pleasure to accept this award.  MSSC helps produce agile knowledge workers with the stronger, cross-cutting foundational skills needed to help companies achieve greater productivity, innovation and global economic competitiveness," said Leo Reddy, CEO of MSSC. "MSSC is seeing impressive success rates, with over 70% of CPT and CLT certificants either securing employment or continuing to higher levels of manufacturing training. These credentials also have a profoundly positive impact on the outlook of our certificants:  over 90% of certified workers overwhelmingly report more confidence on the job, greater safety awareness and preparedness, and better ability to adapt to changing technologies."
