Bracknell Forest Chooses Yotta Mayrise Street Works Software

March 20, 2014 -- The UK’s Bracknell Forest Council has selected hosted street works software from Yotta. The Mayrise Street Works package will be used to process around 25,000 requests per year from utility companies and others working on the highway. Following a competitive tender, Bracknell Forest Council selected the hosted Mayrise Street Works solution based on system functionality, price and support. The Council also plans to use the software, and call on the company’s proven experience, as they work towards introducing a Street Works Permit Scheme later this year.

“We knew we wanted a managed service in order to reduce downtime and improve system support,” commented Wayne Scott, Traffic Manager at Bracknell Forest Council. “Mayrise Street Works software provided this. The look and feel of the solution was also very appealing and the cost, both initial purchase and ongoing support, was also very competitive.”

“As a Council we are continually exploring and moving forward with new ways of working and Mayrise Street Works software will support this. We are already realising significant efficiencies in the management of notices and the production of reports and the support from the Mayrise team has been first class. We are confident that Mayrise Street Works solution will support the planned introduction of a Street Works Permit Scheme later this year.”

Bracknell Forest selected Mayrise Street Works software from Yotta following a competitive tender process. The outline requirement was for a hosted IT solution for Street Works. Invitations were requested from suppliers whose systems complied with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the technical specification for the Electronic Transfer of Notices (EToN), and be capable of supporting a permit module at a later date. The Invitation to Quote issued by the Council also requested evidence of system specification and references sites.

Mayrise Street Works software is a complete solution for managing street work notices for both street and highways authorities and statutory undertakers. Handling the Street Works Register, National Street Gazetteer, inspections management, defect reporting, the system eliminates paperwork, ensures best practice and provides up to date information on the status of all works. Mayrise Street Works also offers full compliance with the revised EToN 6 specification.

Mayrise Street Works is available online and is powered by the fastest managed hosting service from one of the UK’s leading hosting and colocation providers who supply dedicated server hosting, critical application hosting and cloud hosting solutions. Mayrise Online also includes expert technicians who monitor the system around the clock ensuring data security and system performance.
