IDT Announces Production Availability of JEDEC 1.0-Compliant DDR4 Memory Interface Products

IDT’s DDR4 Register, Data Buffer, and Thermal Sensor with SPD Reach Important Qualification Milestone for Use with RDIMMs and LRDIMMs in Computing and Storage Applications

SAN JOSE, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 2, 2014 — Integrated Device Technology, Inc. ( IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI), the Analog and Digital Company™ delivering essential mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, today announced mass production of its DDR4 chipset (including register, data buffer, and thermal sensor) that is compliant to the JEDEC 1.0 specifications for use in DDR4 registered dual in-line memory modules (RDIMMs) and load-reduced dual in-line memory modules (LRDIMMs). IDT’s DDR4 memory interface products deliver best-in-class power, performance, and quality, and are an integral part of next-generation memory modules for enterprise data center, storage, and networking applications.

The JEDEC 1.0 specifications define compliance for memory logic components up to 2400 MT/s. IDT’s DDR4 solutions are critical building blocks of DDR4 memory sub-systems in enterprise server and storage systems based on the future Intel® Xeon™ processor E5-2600 v3 product family, available in the second half of 2014.

“Intel is working closely with DDR4 ecosystem vendors, such as IDT, to offer customers a low risk path for enablement of the DDR4 memory platform,” said Geof Findley, Director, Platform Memory Operations Ecosystem Management at Intel. “IDT’s DDR4 register, data buffer, and SPD solutions are an important part of the ecosystem and we’re excited to see them achieve this milestone.”

“IDT continues to be a valued supplier to Micron,” said Robert Feurle, VP Marketing & Program Management at Micron. “We are working closely with IDT to validate and qualify our DDR4 solutions for use with systems based on the future Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 product family.”

“IDT is pleased to lead the burgeoning DDR4 market with JEDEC 1.0-compliant solutions,” said Rami Sethi, vice president and general manager of memory interface products at IDT. “It’s rewarding to help advance a fundamental building block of the next-generation computing and storage ecosystem. Achieving production qualification of our JEDEC 1.0 specification-compliant chipset validates our leadership position, and gives our customers confidence in selecting IDT for their next-generation platforms.”

IDT’s complete DDR4 solution consists of the 4RCD0124K Registered Clock Driver (RCD), 4DB0124K data buffer, and TSE2004GB2 thermal sensor with SPD. All three devices are production-released and shipping in volume today. For more information about IDT’s DDR4 solutions, visit www.idt.com/go/DDR4.
