(1)     In the first quarter of 2012, we changed our accounting method from delayed recognition of actuarial gains and losses for our defined benefit pension plans and other post retirement benefit plans to immediate recognition. We elected to immediately recognize net actuarial gains and losses and the change in the fair value of plan assets in our operating results in the year in which they occur.
