Chip Path Design Systems Offers Free System-on-Chip Portal Access to Design Automation Conference 2014 Attendees

Following its massively successful FPGA portal launch, ChipPath offers free SoC portal use to DAC 2014 attendees

CUPERTINO, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 30, 2014 — Chip Path™ Design Systems, a chip architecture and assembly company, announces free early access to its System-on-Chip (SoC) design portal. Under development for over 3 years, the company’s ChipArchitect tools enable rapid assembly of SoC ideas with mapping and estimation to over 15 foundry nodes. DAC attendees can register at the ChipPath booth with a corporate email and receive 2 free weeks of subscription access to its ChipArchitect SoC tools, a $350 value. Registered DAC attendees will be able to map their designs to production nodes from 28nm to 0.35μm. Advanced modeling of 14nm, 16nm, and 20nm will also be shown at the ChipPath booth.

SoC Architecture Creation: what can users do with the free subscription?

ChipPath’s ChipArchitect tool uses built-in semantic models and can generate over 1.8M end-to-end I/O Channel and core models with either a hard or soft IP implementation. Users can take their “idea on a napkin” and enter it in minutes. User blocks having soft, hard, memory, PLL, DLL, I/O, DDRx, or SERDES resources can be entered. Additionally, Semiconductor IP blocks from ChipPath’s IP Directory, featuring 14,000+ hard and soft Semiconductor IP blocks from over 400 vendors, can be inserted into a design.

SoC estimation and analysis: what does the free subscription produce for me?

ChipPath DAC booth registrants can map their architecture onto any production node from 28nm to 0.35μm for free. The resulting mapping produces a die size estimate, floorplan and power budget, selects the best package, provides a complete device cost estimate and finally an estimate for NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) costs for masks, package, production setup, etc.

Availability

The ChipPath FPGA and FPASSP portals are now available at http://www.chippath.com featuring both free and pay subscription models. The SoC portal is currently only open by invitation, available at DAC 2014. The public launch of the SoC portal, with free and pay subscriptions, will start shortly after DAC 2014. The design community is invited to visit the website, explore, and talk with us at DAC 2014 in San Francisco.

ChipPath at DAC 2014

ChipPath will be displaying its web SoC planning portal, FPGA mapping tools and IP directory at the 2014 Design Automation Conference (DAC) from June 2-4 in San Francisco, CA in Booth #206C. See our DAC 2014 flyer at www.chippath.com/dac2014 for more info and for a chance to win a Pebble SmartWatch with our daily raffle drawing.

About ChipPath

Chip Path Design Systems is a privately-funded chip architecture and assembly company that merges web technology with semiconductor design and intellectual property reuse to dramatically simplify IC design. Targeting the front-end process from specification through Semiconductor IP assembly to physical planning, and device selection, the ChipPath platform significantly lowers risk and cost of complex SoC and FPGA design while improving quality, power and performance. ChipPath’s Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools enable detailed analysis at the concept, architecture, and RTL levels. ChipPath operates both Cloud Based web infrastructure and also delivers SoC architecture tools onto Linux workstations.
