GREENBELT, Md. (May 30, 2014) –The NFRC ANS Standards Committee and NFRC Board of Directors approved a plan to submit the three NFRC Documents that are referenced in International Code Council (ICC) Building Codes to the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) process. The public review and comment period is scheduled to run from May 2 – June 16, 2014.
The three documents to be submitted for public review, comment, and the full ANSI consensus process will be
- NFRC 200: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and Visible Transmittance at Normal Incidence, and
- NFRC 400: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Air Leakage.
The announcement that these documents are open to public comment will appear in Standards Action on May 2, 2014, marking the beginning of the open public comment period. With the documents being available electronically (via the links above), the comment period will be 45 days, closing on June 16, 2014.
