Ramat Gan Israel – June 16th, 2014. ---- VisionMap Ltd and Acute3D announced today the first sale of their joint 3D modeling solution to the Tianjin institute of Survey & Mapping. The bundle solution combines VisionMap’s A3 Airborne Digital Mapping System and Acute3D’s Smart3DCapture™software. This is the first and only end-to-end solution providing high-resolution 3D models of vast areas, and high-quality mapping products - all from one system.
Thanks to VisionMap’s proprietary scanning technology, the A3 airborne camera is able to quickly cover vast areas in extremely high resolution. The camera ‘sweeps’ back and forth across track capturing rooftops and facades simultaneously – making it ideal for 3D city modeling. The A3 LightSpeed processing system’s robust aerial triangulation is performed on vertical and oblique imagery simultaneously. Using the imagery captured by the A3 camera, Acute3D’ssoftware creates the highest quality 3D models in a fully automatic manner.
After extensive research, the Tianjin InstitutefoundVisionMap and Acute3D to provide theideal turnkey solution for their needs. Particularly important to Tianjin was the solution’s seamless and automaticworkflow from capture to final product. The Tianjin Institutewill be undertaking a mapping and 3D modeling project covering14,000 km2of the Tianjin region.
