Speakers Announced for the 2014 FLOW-3D Americas Users Conference

Flow Science has announced the speakers for its 2014 FLOW-3D Americas Users Conference, to be held on September 9-10 at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Toronto, in Toronto, ON, Canada.

FLOW-3D users, from both the commercial sector and research arena, will present and discuss their work, including topics such as modeling bioreactors, simulating erosion control, predicting dam break failure and solving manufacturing issues using CFD software. A diverse lineup of speakers includes GM Corp, Ontario Power Generation, Tetra Tech, W.F. Baird & Associates, KODACO and a variety of leading research institutions. This year’s conference will begin with a general session featuring comprehensive development talks for both the FLOW-3D solver and graphical users interface, presented by Michael Barkhudarov, VP of R&D and John Ditter, VP of Software Engineering at Flow Science. In addition, a special development talk will focus on the advanced meshing capabilities of the software.

Advanced training for the use of FLOW-3D in the water & environmental industry will be held Monday, September 9. Training topics include the all new Sediment Scour model in FLOW-3D v11, hybrid 3-D/2-D shallow-water modeling for large domains, and efficient model and project workflows for hydraulics problems. The training will also provide hints and tips for using FlowSight™, FLOW-3D‘s new post-processing and visualization tool.
