Daum Unleashes Biggest-ever Update of SolCalendar: To-do and Map Features Announced

- New To-do and Maps feature added

- Powerful line-ups of new widgets and stickers

SEOUL, South Korea — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 31, 2014 — Sol Studio of Daum Communications (KOSDAQ:035720) (CEO Sae-hoon Choi) has rolled out the latest version of SolCalendar starting today for all users around the world.

SolCalendar 1.5 includes â–¶ To-do and To-do Widget â–¶ Google Maps & Foursquare Integration â–¶ Countdown, Date & Shortcut widgets â–¶ Simple Stickers Package â–¶ Clear & Simple UX/UI

To-do and Map integration are the most noticeable changes in this update. And by supporting to-dos and to-do widgets that syncs with Google Tasks, Task management became another key aspect of SolCalendar along with time management. Also, Google Tasks and Google Maps integration made it the best alternative to Google Calendar app.

Powerful line-ups of new customizable widgets and stickers are believed to be other key differentiators to draw new users. New countdown, date, shortcut widgets and mono-tone simple stickers were added to fulfill the various tastes of users.

On the other hand, SolCalendar team has maximized the user experience by bringing a completely re-designed UI. Views for adding event were simplified, and Today & Agenda Views are integrated in one menu. Also, users can check their monthly and weekly schedules at a glance with the Split View, unlike in other calendar apps.

It is surprising to know that the new version was reviewed by more than 10,000 Beta testers in advance of its release. During the testing period, SolCalendar team was flooded with hundreds of reviews and feedbacks and accordingly many of them were reflected in the final version.

SolCalendar team has opened a special Thank You page dedicated to the volunteer translators to express their deepest gratitude. On this page, anyone can apply to become a volunteer translator for SolCalendar.

SolCalendar is available in 22 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese (simplified and traditional formats), Japanese, Russian, Spanish, French, Turkish, German, Danish, Italian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Thai, Dutch, Polish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Malay, Hebrew and Arabic.
