SVB Group Opens its Cloud Hosted, Hyper Local, Big Data Analytics Platform for Public Beta

MELBOURNE, Australia, Feb. 2, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  SVB Group announced its cloud-based platform, which will help users around the globe, spot local trends. SVB Group's Zapiator platform ( http://www.zapiator.com) allows users to analyse and make local decisions about any specific area of the world. It allows its users to integrate their own data with ease and gather local information, not previously seen. A user chooses a map location and then identifies a distance or drive time, with mode of transport around that location and point of interest information, if needed. A comprehensive report is then provided about that location. Users can segment and download their data based on travel time or distance and then run mail merge independently.

"There are wide variety of problems that Zapiator can solve, that were previously too hard, or too expensive. Our private beta customers have validated this over the last few months, by solving their own unique problems," said Sameer Babbar, CEO of SVB Group. "Emergency services like police, fire and ambulance can now easily plan and locate the centres that allow maximum population to be reached at an optimum time. Commercial businesses can benchmark revenue potential of locations, by combining population with per capita consumption. We are able to provide a gamut of data directly, we look to partner with organisations that bring this capability as an easy extension of our platform," he added.

Mr Raghu Raj Kumar, Director of Eden Exchange commented: "Our business deals with brokers and investors who buy, sell and invest in business. While you can always look at the books and see how a business has done in the past, Zapiator.com is great because it helps you quantify the market potential and market share of a business. This significantly reduces the risk of transaction when assessing business valuation."

Rory Gleeson founder of social media start-up Whatsupdata who is among the early users of Zapiator was excited about forthcoming social data integration with Zapiator. He said: "It will aid benchmarking of a location, based on its social foot print as well as social influence."

The platform is available now in free beta and there are hundreds of early stage users including from IBM, Telstra and number of market research and consulting organisations.

We will be shortly introducing geocoding and social media functionality where you will be able to investigate your own customers and what social media is talking about," said Kamal Parmar, Technical Director of SVB Group.

"It is a good team effort and ability to get advisors of international repute, has helped us," Kamal added.
