TransGaming (TSX VENTURE: TNG) today announced at GDC2015, that it has entered into a strategic agreement with NVIDIA to enable high-end games for the just-revealed NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV console. Konami's Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been named by NVIDIA as the first title enabled by TransGaming for the console.

TransGaming has utilized its industry-leading cross-platform portability technology to enable AAA+ gaming content for NVIDIA's Android™ TV based-platform. The agreement highlights TransGaming's graphics portability technology source-code licensing solutions. The company's technology allows for the enablement of games developed for Microsoft's DirectX® API's onto platforms using alternative graphics APIs, such as OpenGL and other Khronos Group industry standards. TransGaming's graphics portability technology supports a wide array of operating systems including: MacOS X™, Android™, iOS™, and SteamOS™.

SHIELD is NVIDIA's first living room entertainment device, harnessing the power of the mobile-cloud to revolutionize gaming. Powered by the Tegra X1 processor - with a 256-core Maxwell GPU and 64-bit CPU, the Android TV console delivers 4K video and Google voice search, along with favorite movies, music, and apps.
