TransGaming and Square Enix to Debut FINAL FANTASY(R) XIV: A Realm Reborn(TM) on Mac

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- Mar 09, 2015 -- Editors Note: There are four photos associated with this press release.

TransGaming (TSX VENTURE: TNG), in collaboration with Square Enix Co., Ltd., today announced that FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ will be available on Mac in Spring 2015.

Already a major hit among critics and fans on Windows PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn takes place five years after the realm of Eorzea was ravaged by the unleashing of Bahamut - the most powerful of the god-like Primals. As players explore the world and learn more details in the epic storyline, they can hone their skills with the Armoury System. This unique gameplay feature allows characters to change their role, abilities, and skills on-the-fly, without the need to create multiple characters.

"Since the launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, we heard from many players around the world for a Mac version," said Naoki Yoshida, Producer & Director of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. "I'm truly happy to announce that we will be introducing the official Mac version very soon. Thanks to the undivided support from TransGaming, we were able to deliver the graphic quality and gameplay experience that's comparable to the Windows version. We look forward to welcoming Mac gamers to the world of Eorzea!"

TransGaming has utilized its industry-leading cross-platform portability technology to enable the game for Mac OSX®. TransGaming's technology allows PC and console games to be enabled for Mac, Steam OS™, and Android® platforms with minimal cost and development resources. TransGaming has published numerous other AAA+ games to Mac as part of its new publishing strategy unveiled earlier in FY2014.

"FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is a legendary title that we are privileged to be delivering to Mac gamers worldwide, supporting the franchise's growth across a new market," said Fredrik Liljegren, VP Graphics & Portability Group at TransGaming. "The strategic collaboration on this title with Square Enix demonstrates TransGaming's continued dedication to publishing top tier titles with original developers and publishing partners with ease, efficiency, and value."

FINAL FANTASY XIV is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB, and will be available to download (for Mac) at SQUARE ENIX ONLINE STORE. It will also be accessible via www.transgaming.com.
