Epson will be showcasing the Runsense GPS watches that give runners of all levels precise data to plan, monitor and improve their performance. "Epson's Runsense is the ideal product for keeping me on track with real-time data on my pace, heart rate, and distance," said Meb Keflezighi, Olympic silver medalist and winner of the 2014 Boston Marathon, the first American male to do so since 1983. "It has been a tremendous training tool, and has helped ensure that I'm getting the most out of my workouts."

The Runsense SF-810 provides up to 35 different measurements, including recording heart rate directly from the wrist without a chest strap, time elapsed, distance, pace, laps, intervals, speed, calories burned and many more. The sleek scratch-resistant interactive display features four customizable screens with up to three measurements per screen that a runner can cycle through for real-time updates.

Part of the new "Epson Active" product category, Runsense is the latest in a line of sports and fitness devices from the company to help athletes improve their performance through precise data and easy-to-interpret feedback.

"We are wishing Meb the best of luck during the Boston Marathon this year, and are proud to have him wearing the new Epson SF-810 during the race," said Randy Bergstedt, manager, Epson Active. "Meb's selection of the Runsense watch as his training partner is a testament to the accuracy of our advanced sensing technologies."

Meb will race to defend his Boston Marathon title this year, something that hasn't been done since Kenya's Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot won three consecutive years from 2006-2008.

Meb continued, "Winning the Boston Marathon last year was the most significant victory of my career. I look forward to competing again this year, and having Runsense with me during the race."

Epson will be showcasing the soon-to-be commercially available, Runsense SF-810 GPS watch at the John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo on April 17-19 at booth #2104 prior to Monday's marathon. Additionally, Epson will be accepting pre-orders on-site, offering a 20 percent discount on the Runsense SF-810, as well as a copy of Meb's new book, Meb for Mortals.
