Mold Making Resource Launches New Website for Injection Mold Making Training and Education

SOUTH ROYALTON, Vt., May 4, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — MoldmakingResource.com has launched a new website to provide training and education for injection mold makers. Declining income and unemployment appear to be caused by global competition, yet it is the lack of training and education that is at the heart of the matter.

Experts in the field contribute how-to and technical articles for the website that help fill the gap in training and education. Topics covered include CNC machining, mold design, electrical discharge machining, as well as the many manual skills required to build and repair a mold.

Veteran mold maker, Jon Arnett recently stated, "American plastics manufacturers are experiencing a dramatic shortage of skilled workers. Few companies offer apprenticeship programs and the tech schools rarely offer the necessary courses."

"Unless something is done on a local level this shortage of designers and mold makers will force more work to be outsourced to overseas companies," states Mr. Arnett. Moldmaking is a huge industry worldwide and the US can regain its prominence as a manufacturer of high quality industrial products through training and education, such as is found in this website.
