Remote GeoSystems and Linewise Aerial Solutions Announce the Successful Integration and Testing of the geoDVR™ Gen2 with FLIR Corona 350 Gimbal Video Camera System for Airborne Utility Inspections

MAY 7, 2015 -- FORT COLLINS, Colorado, USA / CALGARY, Alberta, Canada - Remote GeoSystems, Inc. and Linewise Aerial Solutions, Inc. are pleased to announce the successful integration and testing of the geoDVR Gen2 with FLIR Corona 350 Gimbal Video Camera System on a Bell Helicopter for Airborne Utility Inspections.

“The geoDVR Gen2 was the only geospatial video system on the market that that would meet our FMV (full motion video) requirements right out of the box,” says Linewise Aerial General Manager Doug Rae. “The Remote Geo team impressed and delivered - everything worked as advertised and the geoDVR was easy to configure for our FLIR mutli-sensor gimbal. When paired with the LineVision software suite, we can now easily customize and repurpose utility inspection deliverables for our clients based on their specific users and requirements.”

The geoDVR Gen2 is an advanced “plug & play” DVR for recording multiple channels of geo-referenced High-Definition and Standard-Definition full motion video (gFMV™) in aerial and mobile mapping environments. It is ideally suited for professional utility/pipeline inspection, ISR and law enforcement applications that utilize multi-sensor gyro-stabilized gimbal video cameras.

Linewise will use the geoDVR with their FLIR Corona 350 to perform helicopter-based utility inspections with High-Definition color (EO), Infrared (IR) and Corona (UV) video as well high-resolution oblique still photos.

Videos, photos, points of interest/waypoints and audio notes collected with the geoDVR are compatible with the Remote GeoSystems LineVision™ suite of GIS & Project mapping software. LineVision allows for simple desktop playback, analysis and project packaging utilizing the Esri ArcGIS Platform, Google Earth & PLS-CADD.
