Downtown Disney Officially Becomes Disney Springs with Enticing New Dining and Exciting Retail Experiences

While Disney Springs continues to grow at Walt Disney World Resort in the space once occupied by Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort still remains home to a vibrant and popular Downtown Disney District in California.

Disney Springs Vice President Keith Bradford, Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Senior Vice President Maribeth Bisienere, Walt Disney World Resort President George A. Kalogridis, Mickey Mouse, Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Patina Restaurant Group CEO Nick Valenti celebrate the opening of Morimoto Asia Sept. 29, 2015 at the newly named Disney Springs complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Re-imagined from Downtown Disney, Disney Springs is doubling the number of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences opening in phases through 2016. (David Roark, photographer).
