PLM Delivery participants prepare with Survey

Oxford, England. October 19, 2015 -- In July 2015 the PLMIG announced a Global Survey of the issues, metrics and parameters of PLM Delivery ( MCADCafe 20 June).

The primary question at the heart of the Survey is: "Does the Customer Get What He Pays For when he buys PLM?", and the answers to are likely to be quite contentious. There are many different opinions about how PLM is delivered, and whether projects meet the expectations that were set. It is likely that some of the answers would be too confidential to be sent to a Survey coordinator, even if the coordinator is the PLMIG.

The aim was for the PLMIG to organise a face-to-face meeting where participants could discuss their Survey findings in a safe environment with other PLM practitioners. That meeting is now arranged, in the form of the PLM Delivery Workshop on 03-05 November in Manchester, UK.

Delegates who have completed the Survey have created a clear picture for themselves of the parameters that affect PLM success or failure in their businesses. In the controlled environment of a PLMIG workshop they can discuss their results in detail with other participants, sharing knowledge and building on the joint findings.

This is the first ever forum for PLM practitioners from all types of company to work together on the problems of justifying PLM and defining clear and quantified parameters for success.

The Workshop is open to delegates from any country and any part of the PLM industry. The detailed Agenda and registration details are available on the PLMIG web site.
