Each quarter, West Valley Staffing Group (WVSG) surveys a wide range of Silicon Valley hiring managers about their upcoming hiring needs. The hiring managers come from different industries, including high tech, manufacturing, electronics, finance, semiconductor, medical, aerospace, and alternative energy. Each participant is asked, "Do you expect your hiring needs to increase, remain steady, or decrease in the future?" This survey is unique and exclusive to Silicon Valley!

Hundreds of hiring managers were surveyed this quarter, with 85% predicting a hiring increase or expecting to remain steady during the fourth quarter of 2015, compared to 89% this time last year.  Only 15% of hiring managers expect their hiring needs to decrease.

According to the California Employment Development Department (EDD), "California's unemployment rate decreased to 6.1 percent in August, adding 36,000 jobs." EDD also stated, "This is the lowest California's [unemployment]…rate has been since January 2008."

"Silicon Valley's job growth is tremendous! New construction projects surround us as companies of all sizes move into the technology hub," said Charlie Allport, Executive Vice President of WVSG. "This is the highest level of demand for talent we have seen in many years."

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the technology boom in Silicon Valley continues to rise, with Santa Clara County taking the #1 spot in the nation's job market. The San Jose Mercury News Venture Capital Funding List of 2015 shows the Information Technology and Software Sectors makes up 49% of the upcoming job market.  Silicon Valley has made a solid name as the primary hub and leader in technology and startups. Fortune 500 companies are building new, bigger and higher tech locations, thus creating thousands of jobs for potential talent.
