Renesas Electronics Announces Development of an On-Chip SRAM to Enable Real-Time Image Processing Required in the Autonomous-Driving Cars Era

The newly-developed SRAM will be adopted in Renesas’ state-of-the-art SoCs in the 16 nm FinFET process. By providing these devices with extraordinary speed, Renesas aims to contribute to the creation of a safe, secure, and pleasant driving experience.

Renesas presented the results of this research at the International Electron Devices Meeting 2015 (IEDM 2015), held from December 7 to December 9, 2015, in Washington, DC.
