AUVSI to Host Unmanned Systems Europe Conference in Brussels, March 22 to 23

Industry stakeholders to discuss regulations, promoting innovation across borders

ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 3, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —  The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host its annual Unmanned Systems Europe Conference at the Sheraton Brussels Hotel March 22 and 23 to advance the global UAS community and promote harmonization of regulation, integration, and culture.

Attendees at last year's Unmanned Systems Europe Conference participate in a catered networking session.

Jacqueline Foster, member of the European Parliament; Koen De Vos, senior drone expert, DG MOVE – Mobility and Transport, European Commission; Ron van de Leijgraaf, senior policy advisor, Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment; and Eric Sivel, chairman, Joint Authorities on Rulemaking for Unmanned Systems (JARUS) will present at the conference.

Other participants that are scheduled for the conference include representatives from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE), the French National Railway Co. (SNCF) and the UK Ministry of Transport.

Comprehensive panel sessions at Unmanned Systems Europe will provide practical intelligence to manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, commercial operators, regulators, policy makers and academics. The sessions will cover topics such as airspace integration, emerging markets, the needs and challenges of end-user operations, insurance and legal considerations, standards development, and opportunities for regulatory collaboration.
