MedShare To Be Recognized at Hawks Unity Game

MedShare will be honored at the Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game.

ATLANTA, Sept. 30, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —  MedShare, an Atlanta-based global humanitarian aid organization, will be honored at the first annual Atlanta Hawks Unity Game on October 10th at Phillips Arena. CEO and President, Charles Redding, will accept a donation to advance the organization's mission to improve the quality of life of people and our planet. MedShare was chosen as one of six organizations to be recognized at the game.

The Unity Game will be between the Atlanta Hawks and 2016 NBA Champions the Cleveland Cavaliers. Supported by both teams, the Unity Game aims to celebrate multicultural groups, diverse populations and organizations committed to improving relations among different groups. It will be broadcast on FOX Sports Southeast, tipoff will be at 7:30pm EST.

MedShare will also host Hawks employee volunteers during its all-staff service day on October 7th. 50 Hawks staff members will sort and repackage medical supplies to be shipped to underserved communities all over the world. They will take a tour of the organization's facilities and learn how MedShare collects surplus medical supplies and equipment and delivers them to recipient healthcare organizations in underdeveloped nations to help strengthen their health systems.
