WOC Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS) Attracts High Level Opening Speakers

SOS 2016 Opening Session to Feature Top Officials from U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP), UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) and European Commission DG MARE

Oct 4, 2016 -- The Opening Plenary of the World Ocean Council (WOC) Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS), Rotterdam, 30 Nov-2 Dec 2016, will include:

• Erik Solheim, Director, U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP); U.N. Under-Secretary-General
• Vladimir Ryabinin, Executive Secretary, UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC)
• Joao Aguiar Machado, Director General, DG MARE, European Commission
