Vancouver Film School Welcomes Iconic Media Personality Victor Lucas to Board of Advisors

EPN.tv Host & Founder Victor Lucas joins the VFS Game Design & Programming for Gaming Advisory board bringing 25 years of industry experience and insight to faculty & students

VANCOUVER, Aug. 4, 2017 /CNW/ - Vancouver Film School (VFS) announced today that film, television and video game industry legend Victor Lucas will be joining the school's Game Design program advisory board for 2017 and 2018.

Victor Lucas is an Emmy and Telly Award-winning videogame television pioneer. He is the creator, executive producer and host of the national, daily, videogame and entertainment newsmagazine series, "The Electric Playground," which premiered 20 years ago to fans across North America and also spun off the the national, daily, video game review series, "Reviews on the Run."

Victor won an Emmy Award for his work as the creator, executive producer and host of the weekly series, "GameTap News," for Turner's GameTap network. Victor also created and executive produced, "The Art of Play" for Rainbow Media's Gameplay HD network and was the executive producer of, "The Lab with Leo Laporte," and "Torrent" for G4TechTV Canada. Still passionate about the world of Film, Television and Video Games, Victor continues to direct, produce and host a variety of creative projects every year that take him to cities around the world.

Further, Lucas is currently developing several new creative projects exclusively with the Vancouver Film School, including an exciting new showcase of top indie video game titles and the game design talent behind them, before they break into the industry. The project is called "VFS Pitch & Play" and will be available for the public to view this fall.

The Vancouver Film School Game Design Advisory Board is a powerhouse collective that features developers and executives from top industry players such as Electronic Arts (EA), Ubisoft, Blizzard, Microsoft, and Capcom as a driving force for innovation and direction.  The group regularly consults and offers insight on the Game Design program's one-year curriculum, focusing on how to best deliver the most current industry skills and techniques to students.
