Renewed Partnership Leads to Innovative Technology from Building Systems Design

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Sept. 13, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  The Construction Specification Institute (CSI), a national association dedicated to improving the construction industry through construction communications, announced its renewed partnership with leading specifications content and software company, Building Systems Design (BSD) today. The relationship will give CSI members access to a unique combination of building technology and know-how targeted to make specifiers more productive, efficient and collaborative.

"We are proud to support BSD in developing cutting-edge technology that will enable us to develop a comprehensive view of the current specification writer," said Mark Dorsey, CEO of CSI. "This is the first time an association and a technology company have come together to offer this type of information to industry professionals."

The renewed partnership also brings with it new leadership in industry experts Arol Wolford and Iain Melville. Wolford and Melville will be joining BSD CEO Chris Anderson in carrying out the vision of enabling specifiers to become the centerpiece of a project team while creating valuable technology for consumers.

"With the addition of Arol and Iain, we are well poised for continued success and growth," says Anderson. "If their combined expertise and leadership are any indication, substantial industry advancements are on the horizon."

"CSI is at the forefront of construction technology and has built this association around making the construction industry and its professionals more collaborative, cohesive, and efficient," said Ron Geren, CSI Board Chair. "I am excited for what the future holds and believe this partnership with BSD will not only enable us to develop better, customized content for our members, but also reignite the demand for our members' expertise."

BSD is exhibiting at CONSTRUCT 2017, September 13-15, in Providence, Rhode Island and is demonstrating a new, BIM-integration solution designed to empower specifiers with enhanced visibility and data, and improve coordination throughout the specification-writing process.
