New Application Note Demonstrates NI AWR Software Simulation Test Bench for NB-IoT Products

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. –  Apr. 17, 2018  AWR/NI announcement:

It is estimated that by 2020 more than 26 billion devices will be connected to the internet of things (IoT). By using cellular telecommunications bands and existing wireless networks, a low power wide area network ( LPWAN) radio technology standard known as narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) will be used to support a wide range of IoT devices and services.

To help engineers implement this radio technology, a new NI AWR software application note overviews NB-IoT design requirements and demonstrates how new capabilities in Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) system design software can be used to study the impact of NB-IoT signals on an existing LTE network. Examples covered within the application note include a long-term evolution (LTE) signal and NB-IoT uplink coexistence receive signal (RX) test bench, an NB-IoT uplink enriched narrowband (eNB) RX text bench in the guard band of an LTE signal and an in-band uplink eNB RX test bench.

When: Immediately.
