Contra Costa Water District Selects Total Resource Management with Sedaru, Inc. for its Enterprise Asset & Operational Management System

Bay-Area utility serving 500,000 homes and businesses signs multi-year contract

SAN DIMAS, Calif., Jan. 10, 2019 — (PRNewswire) —

SAN DIMAS, Calif., Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sedaru announced today that Total Resource Management, Inc. (TRM), with Sedaru, Inc. in a subcontract position, has been selected by Contra Costa Water District (CCWD or District) to deliver software and services in support of the District's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. This contract was awarded after an extensive RFP and selection process, including business case evaluations and technology vetting, and led to a multi-year agreement between the firms.

TRM and Sedaru will implement IBM's Maximo software and work order engine, with the Sedaru software's bi-directional integration for real-time, turnkey work order management and field data collection for all water related assets, including and not limited to horizontal distribution system and vertical production system assets.

"After an extensive search for a new computerized maintenance management system that would fit CCWD's unique requirements, including emphases on an easy-to-use interface for comprehensive work management and field data collection, and a seamless integration experience with District information systems, including the District's Esri-GIS, we felt that Maximo's vertical asset management engine, together with Sedaru's enterprise approach to analytics, data interface with Esri GIS integration, and real-time approach to automating O&M workflows was the right fit for the District". – Mr. Pete Schoemann, Director of Operations, Maintenance, and Emergency Preparedness.

TRM is a premier IBM partner, delivering strategic EAM expertise and cloud solutions, and will manage implemention of a SaaS based IBM Maximo. The implementation will also include TRM's RulesManager™ extension which adds additional capabilities, enhances operational control, and maximizes performance of IBM Maximo. TRM RulesManager will also reduce implementation and configuration times.

Sedaru will support TRM led workshops and connect Maximo with the District's GIS to deploy Sedaru OMNI and Sedaru Fieldforce for digital, automated Maximo work orders. CCWD will utilize Sedaru's Operations Management & Network Intelligence (OMNI™) application as the real-time platform to monitor, dispatch, track, trend, and report-on events and data from across O&M.
Sedaru Connect will integrate and transact water data from the District's GIS, field work, and IBM Maximo, seamlessly to Sedaru Fieldforce, enabling CCWD O&M staff with preventative and corrective maintenance. This combination of best-of-breed solutions will ensure that management, dispatch, supervisors, field crews, and others in the organization can access mission-critical data, updated in real-time.

"We are excited about this selection by CCWD and look forward to deploying Maximo with Sedaru to deliver streamlined asset and work order management. Our mission is to bring our customers the most innovative technology possible and help them maximize the return on their EAM investment. I believe we've done that by delivering a cost-effective cloud solution that not only includes work management capabilities but predictive, preventative, and condition based maintenance as well." – Garner Bennett, President & CEO of Total Resource Management, Inc.

"We're thankful for this selection by CCWD, and the opportunity to deliver Sedaru as the primary interface for CCWD to access information, automation, and control of the business and assets they run. Together with TRM, Sedaru will update workflows and deliver a best-of-breed solution for findable, shareable, and actionable data anytime, anywhere across CCWD's enterprise. " - Paul Hauffen, President & CEO, Sedaru, Inc.
