Inspire the Future of Electronic Innovation, Contribute to the 57th Design Automation Conference

Topic areas including Design, EDA, Embedded Systems, Autonomous Systems, Machine Learning, Intellectual Property, Security and Design on Cloud

SAN FRANCISCO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 1, 2019 — Starting its 57th year, the Design Automation Conference (DAC) continues to illuminate profound and major shifts in the design of electronics, whether they are in methodology and tools, at the chip or systems level, or in cohesive commercial-government-academic partnerships that establish new roads to innovation.

All of the above, over the past few years, have fostered a resurgence in systems design, and at the forefront of research and technology is DAC – the premier event devoted to the design and design automation of electronic chips to systems, where attendees learn today and create tomorrow. DAC has opened the call for contributions for the 57th DAC, to be held next year in San Francisco, CA.

The DAC Technical Program Committee for DAC 2020, under the leadership of the 57th General Chair, Dr. Zhuo Li of Cadence Design Systems, is soliciting high-quality submissions on design research, design practices and design automation for the Research Track, Designer Track and IP Track on the following topics:

“DAC has always been a driving force for the future of innovation. The conference is unique in offering the semiconductor and electronics design industry outstanding education, training, exhibits and networking opportunities. DAC brings together – for one week, in one location – the worldwide community of designers, researchers, tool developers and vendors,” Li said. “I encourage everyone in the worldwide electronic ecosystem to participate at DAC and to submit research topics, design practices and technical aspirations to the 2020 program.”

The research track abstracts deadline is November 27, 2019. The 57th DAC will be held at Moscone West Center in San Francisco, CA from July 19 - 23, 2020. DAC will co-locate with SemiCon West 2020, which is being held at the Moscone Center, North and South Halls, July 21 – 23, 2020.

Submissions are also being sought for special sessions, poster sessions, panels, workshops, works-in-progress, tutorials and DAC Pavilion panels under the same topics highlighted above. All submission information details can be found at https://dac.com/call-for-contributions

About DAC

The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is recognized as the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems, and for electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solutions. A diverse worldwide community representing more than 1,000 organizations attends each year, represented by system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives to researchers and academicians from leading universities. Close to 60 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, methodologies and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its exhibition and suite area with approximately 200 of the leading and emerging EDA, silicon, intellectual property (IP), embedded systems and design services providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is supported by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design Automation (ACM SIGDA).

Design Automation Conference acknowledges trademarks or registered trademarks of other organizations for their respective products and services.
