CebaTech Inc. Joins HyperTransport Technology Consortium

EATONTOWN, N.J.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—January 16, 2007— CebaTech Inc., a start-up delivering high-value Internet Protocol intellectual property cores and breakthrough ESL technology, today announced that it has joined the HyperTransport(TM) Technology Consortium, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing, promoting and licensing the industry's lowest latency, highest bandwidth and most efficient interconnect technology. HyperTransport-based products give original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) a platform for delivering high-performance systems using off-the-shelf, proven, industry-standard technology which drives down cost and time-to-market when deploying state-of-the-art systems.

CebaTech is focused on helping customers save time and improve efficiency in the development of electronic designs. The company is pioneering a new approach to ESL-based design in which untimed ANSI C is the design language, verification takes place in a pure C software environment, architecture is explored and implemented in the C source, and synthesizable Verilog RTL is automatically generated. The result is a flow that dramatically shortens the development time for complex chips -- whether they be ASSP-, ASIC- or FPGA-based designs. CebaTech enables rapid implementation of software algorithms in dedicated hardware, which allows customers to produce lower cost and lower power chips.

"The low latency, high bandwidth interconnect provided by HyperTransport, coupled with CebaTech's C-to-RTL compiler technology, enables the use of FPGAs as parallel co-processors in compute-intensive applications such as financial analysis, oil and gas exploration, and life sciences. Working with existing HyperTransport members such as DRC Computer Corp., CebaTech and its partners make possible the efficient delivery of previously unattainable levels of acceleration for compute-intensive applications," said John Emmitt, ESL Product Manager for CebaTech.

About the HyperTransport(TM) Technology Consortium

The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization that manages, promotes and licenses HyperTransport Technology. The HyperTransport Consortium consists of over 60 industry-leading members, including founding members Advanced Micro Devices, Alliance Semiconductor, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco Systems, NVIDIA, PMC-Sierra, Sun Microsystems and Transmeta. Membership is based on a yearly fee and it is open to any company interested in licensing the royalty-free use of HyperTransport technology and intellectual property. Consortium members have full access to HyperTransport technical documents database, they may attend Consortium meetings and events and may benefit from a variety of technical and marketing services, including the new, member-driven web portal, whose business benefits are part of a wide array of services offered by the Consortium free of charge to member companies. About DRC

DRC delivers complete solutions for compute-intensive problems and for accelerating high-performance applications in a tightly coupled coprocessing environment. DRC is the leading provider of coprocessor systems that plug directly into a systems processor socket. Offloading CPU-intensive software subroutines to hardware in a DRC Reconfigurable Processor Unit (RPU) makes applications run many times faster than ordinary solutions connected to a peripheral bus. Coprocessor bandwidth and latency bottlenecks are all but eliminated. The company's RPU and development systems also solve the high-performance computing industry's growing physical limitations of heat, clock speed and density.
