IDT Receives EN-Genius "Product of the Year" Award

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—February 7, 2008— IDT(TM) (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.); (NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, today announced it is a recipient of the annual EN-Genius "Product of the Year" award in the category of "Best PCIe(R) Bus Product." A total of 29 different products in the categories of data acquisition, audio/video technology, green technology, green-power engineering, DSP, wireless, connectivity, networking, passives, low power and high power were selected, from among the hundreds of products reviewed in 2007 by EN-Genius. The Product of the Year Awards, established in 2003 by EN-Genius, formerly known as the analogZONE, recognize product excellence across the spectrum of technologies the publication covers and honor new product introductions which have best demonstrated strong technical merit, innovative design, and exceptional marketability.

"For these annual awards, there is no vendor involvement or submissions of persuasive essays from the manufacturers as to why their product should win," said Paul McGoldrick, EN-Genius editor-in-chief. McGoldrick went on to note that he and editorial colleagues Lee Goldberg and Alex Mendelsohn believe "the products selected will make significant bottom line numbers for the companies involved because of their strong technical merit, design innovation and marketability."

"We granted IDT the "Best PCIe Bus Product of the Year Award" as the IDT switch family will help move PCIe technology from desktop environments to carrier/enterprise-grade applications," said Lee Goldberg, senior technical editor, EN-Genius. "By adding multi-processor capabilities, support for in-band inter-processor communications, and extremely consistent low-latency connections, the IDT switches allow PCIe to realize its potential and deliver its many advantages to system interconnect networks."

Mario Montana, vice president and general manager for the IDT Serial Switching Division said, "We are very committed to the PCIe market and have focused on offering best-in-class switching solutions which has led to the rollout of a comprehensive portfolio of products over the past year. The EN-Genius "Product of the Year" award means a lot to us as it further validates the strength and direction of our product offerings."

IDT released several new PCIe interconnect switching solutions during the past 12 months. In March 2007 (see http://idt.com/?id=4170), the company unveiled seven switches to predictably and efficiently manage all communications in high density bladed systems while providing full-line rate throughput, reliability and high quality of service. These PCIe switches, the 2007 "Product of the Year Award" recipients by EN-Genius, consist of the industry's first 64-lane and 16-port device and enable equipment providers to use PCIe as the primary high performance system interconnect for demanding server, storage, communications and embedded applications. On top of this, the switches are optimized to meet the capacity, scalability and predictable throughput requirements demanded by bladed system providers for consistent high performance and flexible system resource sharing. Following this introduction, the company rolled out the industry's first Gen2 PCIe Express switches (see http://idt.com/?id=4275), which was followed by the release of five PCI switches in September (see http://idt.com/?id=4484), to solve I/O expansion challenges in PC, embedded and consumer applications. The company then released 24-lane, 6-port; a 24-lane, 3-port; a 6-lane, 6-port; and a 4-lane, 4-port PCIe Gen2 switches in November (see http://idt.com/?id=4619). Most recently, the company announced that it is sampling the industry's first PCIe family of switching solutions specifically tailored to meet the high-performance data and control plane interconnect requirements for demanding communications applications (see http://idt.com/?id=4733).

About EN-Genius

Founded in 2001 under the banner of analogZONE, the expanded site that is EN-Genius Network is the premier source for electronic design engineers working in the fields of power management, audio/video, acquisition, connectivity, networking, wireless applications, dsp, programmable logic, and green engineering. sub-ZONEs covering these specific areas enable the designer to focus directly on products of interest, with timely and insightful reviews. News headlines and a calendar of events keep readers current, knowledgeable and informed, while companion ZONEs providing detailed technical notes and guest columns -- along with the usual trenchant commentary by our editors -- offer a wealth of information in an independent arena free from the limited detail permitted in print publications.
