Three New Mexico Clients Renew O&M Partnerships With CH2M HILL OMI

DENVER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Aug 22, 2008 -- Strengthening its position as the water and wastewater operations and maintenance leader in New Mexico, CH2M HILL OMI has earned contract renewals from three clients during the past two months, in Eldorado, Grants and Taos, N.M.

Extended for another four to eight years, the contracts together are worth about $2.9 million annually.

"New Mexico law requires that contracts be re-competed after a maximum term of eight years. We welcome that competition, and we're pleased that the strong work of our talented project teams, in partnership with our clients, led to CH2M HILL OMI's selection again in all three cities," says Elisa M. Speranza, president of CH2M HILL OMI. "We appreciate the opportunity to continue serving the thousands of citizens in these progressive communities."

In Eldorado, the Eldorado Area Water and Sanitation District board voted June 17 to renew its contract with CH2M HILL OMI for up to four more years, extending the contract through June 2012. The partnership originally began in 2004, and CH2M HILL OMI handles water production and distribution, meter reading, billing/collection and customer service for the district.

In Grants, the City Council voted July 29 to renew CH2M HILL OMI's contract for eight more years. CH2M HILL OMI has operated and maintained the Grants water production and distribution systems and the wastewater collection and treatment plant for 20 years. In addition, CH2M HILL OMI's responsibilities include groundskeeping and landscaping services for the parks, cemeteries and other public areas, services that the company has managed since 2000.

And in Taos, the Town Council voted unanimously July 15 to renew CH2M HILL OMI's contract for up to eight more years. CH2M HILL OMI has managed the Taos wastewater treatment facility and the biosolids recycling and reuse program since 1992.
