Javelin Technologies Sponsors Skills Canada Competition

Dartmouth, NS – April 27, 2009: Javelin Technologies announced today their Bronze level sponsorship of the 15th Annual Skills Canada Competition from May 20-23, 2009 in Charlottetown, PEI.

This National event brings together over 500 young Canadians who have successfully competed at the provincial and territorial level to vie for the title of National Champion. Not only will the competitors be tested against exacting standards in more than 40 skilled trades and technology areas but they will also compete against the best of the best from across Canada.

Beyond recognizing excellence, one of the main goals of this event and of skills programming throughout the year across Canada is to raise the awareness of and interest in the skilled trades and technologies as a preferred career path for young Canadians.

“This is a great opportunity to show our support for the next generation of engineers and SolidWorks users,” said John Carlan, Managing Director at Javelin Technologies. Don Carroll from the 2009 Canadian Skills Competition replied “thank you Javelin, for your generous support in helping us recognize the excellence of these students and in promoting the skilled trades and technologies.”
