Connecting “People and Places” with free navigation system on mobile phones

RG: What trends have you witnessed as far as lapping up of free mobile navigation by third parties and developers are concerned? How do you think they are generally making the most of free mobile navigation?

CH: First of all navigation itself is really a killer function. Third parties want to and can use that function and integrate it into their own services. What they don’t want, however, is to develop and build it themselves because it is very costly and expensive. When it comes to using that function there are a lot of different possibilities for third parties: Some of them want to integrate it into social communities and enhance them with the dimension of location, others like rail services, for instance, want to close the last mile between stations and the final destination of their customers with it.

In the future, we will see a great variety of individual and very innovative and interesting use cases.
